HEllo,
I've made a desktop these days specily for Boinc. It's running World Community Grid -- Clean energy project and I saw that last night when I turned off, the task was at 70% and this morning when I powereed up the unit, it was at 12%. How is this possible ?

That's something you'll have to ask at the World Community Grid Forums, but I suspect that that application doesn't checkpoint as often. Yet, ask at their forums, it's their application.
