In reply to bill's message of 9 Jul 2026: That's what happens if you don't have somewhere for the cooled air to exit.an evaporative cooler will be effective...let it's output leave the room. Split or window mounted air conditioner- room needs to be closed up. Evaporative cooler- room needs two openings, one for the cooler to draw air in too cool and, the other to allow that cooled air to exit. Grant Darwin NT. |

We still need the site for our collaboration with the folks at FASTAs I didn't know what this meant, I threw it into Google and Gemini came up with the next bit: UC Berkeley's SETI team collaborates with China's Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) primarily by using the massive dish to re-observe and investigate the most promising candidate signals originally flagged by the public SETI@home project.
