Typical. Just an hour after I asked Eric about it (didn't get an answer on this, though). ;-) |

It's May now, and it should be spring. However, it's not, at least not here. Way too cold to call it spring. |

We went from 27C two days ago to 13C now. From too much warmth to "nice". It's really 17C on my balcony, so don't believe the outdoors temps. |

In reply to Jord's message of 4 May 2025: We went from 27C two days ago to 13C now. From too much warmth to "nice".??? 27°c is the temperature i have my aircon set at to be comfortable. 24°c is cold. 20°c and less is freezing cold (seriously- jacket & trousers or i'd be shivering like someone with dengue fever. Although on my motorbike at night anything less than 24°c is damn cold. 24°c is OK in full Sun, still cold at speed, but not too bad). Forecasts for this week; min 23° to 25° (about 2-4° above average), max 33° to 35° (2-3° above average). Grant Darwin NT. |

Ah, that source of great truth, and exaggeration. While the temperature may reach 25C, that's not that hot compared to other parts of the world where temperatures in excess of 40C are common |

Still no normal spring here. The temperature during the nights are still down to just above the freezing point. Daytime temperatures only around 10C. The wind is freezing cold, and comes from the Arctic. I haven't seen a single insect yet. They're all still hiding. If this goes on for much longer, the insects will run out of stored energy, and die. No pollination this summer. If we even get any summer. The coldest spring I can remember. |

Here in the Fort Worth, Texas area we are possibly expecting 104°F/40°C for Wednesday and the "normal" average high is 83F/28.33C. https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/fort-worth/76102/daily-weather-forecast/351196 I wonder what our summer high temperatures will be like if this keeps up. |
