Hi,
I switched BOINC off and optimised my Disks using Norton's Speed Disk . After which the percentage of the task completed was reduced from some 70%
down to 2.5%.

So the recommended proceedure would be to accept no tasks, then wait for task completion then perform Speed Disk.

70% was probably the last checkpoint, meaning regardless of the reason for stopping boinc - on restart the workunit would begin again from 70%
