Hello together, today i got a lot of -1073741819 (0xC0000005) errors while joining a few new computers. On all computers Boinc (6.4.7) was installed as service. After joining superlink@technion and computing the first WU i got immediately this computation error. My solution (after hours of trying): 1) Deinstalling Boinc completely. 2) Installing an old Boinc-Version with "protected application execution" switched off.(normal User mode) 3) Joining the project and start working on WU. 4) Installing the newest Boinc over the old Installation as service (with "protected application execution" switched off). 5) done!! Is is important to use an old Version, because otherwise the second installation would only give the repair option without asking for the "protected application execution" option. Hopefully i can help somebody. Elmar |

today i got a lot of -1073741819 (0xC0000005) errors while joining a few new computers. Since this is an application error, you may want to check what is causing this. BOINC error codes are numbered -100 to -230. Is is important to use an old Version, because otherwise the second installation would only give the repair option without asking for the "protected application execution" option. Uninstalling the present version, then immediately reinstalling it will give you all normal installer options as well. No need to first install an older version, especially not if you're uninstalling (your first step) already anyway. |
