since I've installed boinc a few weeks ago I cant get any work from wcg, log shows:

since then I've got two newsletters from them but none mentioning possible server issues, a quick glance at the site and forums haven't reveled anything on the subject.

does anyone knows what's going on with this project?

boinc haven't calculated my signature yet, but it is on the WU schedule.

I just tried an update and everything works fine on both XP and Vista.

What are the version numbers of the operating system, libcurl and openssl/nss?
You may turn on some more logging flags in cc-config, like <file_xfer_debug> and <http_debug>. If libcurl is not compiled with ssl, you will get exactly these error message if the core client tries to communicate with WCG.
