I upgraded from version 5 to version 6.218 and did reboot for the install to complete. Everything was running perfectly fine. I shutdown the notebook for the night, in the morning when I powered it up and Boinc started, it stated that there are no clients. I looked at the log and found out that it detached all of my projects, here is part of the log: 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [---] Starting BOINC client version 6.2.18 for windows_intelx86 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [---] log flags: task, file_xfer, sched_ops 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [---] Libraries: libcurl/7.18.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8e zlib/1.2.3 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [---] Data directory: E:\BOINC 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [---] Running under account Virgilijus 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [---] Processor: 1 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.73GHz [x86 Family 6 Model 13 Stepping 8] 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [---] Processor features: fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 mmx 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [---] OS: Microsoft Windows XP: Professional x86 Editon, Service Pack 3, (05.01.2600.00) 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [---] Memory: 1023.30 MB physical, 2.40 GB virtual 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [---] Disk: 27.49 GB total, 18.51 GB free 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [---] Local time is UTC -7 hours 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [---] No coprocessors 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [rosetta@home] URL: http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/; Computer ID: 503597; location: (none); project prefs: default 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [Cels@Home] URL: http://cels-at-home-dev.dyndns.org/cels/; Computer ID: 4944; location: (none); project prefs: default 02-Sep-2008 09:26:55 [SETI@home] URL: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/; Computer ID: 2030423; location: home; project prefs: default 02-Sep-2008 09:26:56 [---] General prefs: from SETI@home (last modified 05-Jul-2007 11:19:58) 02-Sep-2008 09:26:56 [---] Computer location: home 02-Sep-2008 09:26:56 [---] General prefs: no separate prefs for home; using your defaults 02-Sep-2008 09:26:56 [---] Reading preferences override file 02-Sep-2008 09:26:56 [---] Preferences limit memory usage when active to 511.65MB 02-Sep-2008 09:26:56 [---] Preferences limit memory usage when idle to 920.97MB 02-Sep-2008 09:26:56 [---] Preferences limit disk usage to 13.75GB 02-Sep-2008 09:26:56 [---] Contacting account manager at http://bam.boincstats.com/ 02-Sep-2008 09:27:18 [rosetta@home] Restarting task abinitio_homfrag_71_A_1wjgA_4443_28133_0 using minirosetta version 132 02-Sep-2008 09:27:21 [Cels@Home] Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Any ideas as to why Boinc decided to detach my projects???? Sounds like a problem with BAM! there. Please post the same information at the BAM! Bug Report forums. Looking around there, Willy changed something in the code that made some hosts detach. Seeing that your BAM! Host-ID is 0 is your problem, I think. |
