Seeing the current problems with SETI and Einstein, wouldn't it be better to store <duration_correction_factor> not under <project> but under <app> or, better still, <app_version> in client_state.xml?

Just a thought.

We would need to do both. The one under the app version would control the CPU usage estimate and the one under the project would control work fetch for older projects. This would have to be passed back to the server per app version and it is not currently.

Actually, it would be even better if it were more specific even than that and was stored at the cross of the app version and the FLOPS estimate.
