1. I set my BOINC Computing Preferences to 4 or more under "On multiprocessors". I changed these preferences in bothe the BOINC client software and under computer preferrences on each of the project sites.

2. After I clicked the Update preferences, I selected the project in my manager, and then click the Update button for each of three projects. Nothing downloads to take advantage of all 4 CPUs.

Is this your computer? If so, then Vista is telling BOINC that there are only 2 CPUs/cores. What does Vista tell you?
