BOINC reads what the OS is capable of, not what the CPU is capable of. If the OS cannot do any of the higher instructions on the CPU, it won't be mentioned. |

BOINC reads what the OS is capable of, not what the CPU is capable of. Hm.... This host runs SETI opt app with SSSE3 support right now (OS is capable to support such apps indeed :) ) I thought CPUID feature of BOINC client exists to report CPU capabilities to science apps, not just to report what windows thinks about CPU ;) |

If the OS cannot do any of the higher instructions on the CPU, it won't be mentioned. There is no restrictions to use SSE3 and SSSE3 (and higer too , actually) for Windows Server x64. |
