I am going to assume that you are talking about MilkyWay. They have code on the server that limits the number of tasks on the host in a futile attempt to get faster turn around times. They should be using a short deadline instead. ![]() BOINC WIKI |

They should be using a short deadline instead. Hello ... I run BOINC (Version 5.10.45) - Artificial Intelligence System (http://www.intelligencerealm.com/aisystem/system.php). I just get 10 WUs (Work Units) per Core (Intel Core 2 Duo) --> Maximum. Where can I change this to get more [e.g. 20 WUs (Work Units)] Work Units per Core? Thank you Greetings Balmer |

Probably on the project's web site. You should ask there. |

I am going to assume that you are talking about MilkyWay. They have code on the server that limits the number of tasks on the host in a futile attempt to get faster turn around times. They should be using a short deadline instead. Since new tasks are based on the results of previous tasks at that project, you are limited to 10 tasks. In other words 10 tasks per CPU is the most you can get from that project. If you need more you will have to attach to an additional project. BOINC WIKI ![]() ![]() BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

It seems to be right (max. 10 Work Units - WUs - per CPU). --> But I like to have more. Regards, Balmer |
