It never used to do that, and as you might have gathered from the title, is probably useless for the task anyway. Where is the setting to turn it off? Burn in from leaving the same thing on the screen for hours on end does not happen with modern LED screens. Screen savers are a relic from the CRT monitors I grew up with. Seems a little odd. It will have done. I have never set a screen saver manually on Tiny11 (cut down version of Win11) that I run in a VM just for BOINC. That had the screensaver set to use the BOINC one. I have just switched it to none. It will on OLED. Thanks Jord, Worth knowing if I replace current screen or get a laptop that has one.
