* does it refuse add projects or works which are beyond capability of device chip (cpu, gpu) ?No. I can add CPDN on my Android phone, even though there has never been any work for ARM chips from the project and is unlikely ever to be any. The checks start when the client communicates with the project. I think you may sometimes get a warning that work may not be available. |

In reply to vuj's message of 26 Mar 2026: * is app intelligent enough ? Depends on what you mean by saying 'intelligent enough' * does it refuse add projects or works which are beyond capability of device chip (cpu, gpu) ? In the list you see in the application, there are only those projects that claim they have an application for the specific platform (in this case Android). There are no applications (at least from what I know) that utilized GPU on Android device. Also, the BOINC client runs only those applications that has the compatibe CPU architecture. * can i configure to stop using various conditions, ex, temp, time, no of tasks ? Yes, we do have these settings in the BOINC Manager (some of them are hidden, and to see them you need to check 'Advanced options' checkbox. * where can i find options screenshots ? What do you mean? BOINC maintainer. For any insight, check my BOINC Development Blog. |
