I have a strange problem. All tasks sent by Gerasim@home run even though the device’s CPU tasks are fully occupied, but they use 0% CPU and only 2.3 MB of RAM. After a while, the computation is reported as if it has finished, and credit is granted. The Gerasim@home website also seems to be inactive — there are no message boards, and the “user of the day†is always the same person. I think this is just a fake, placeholder project that exists only to distribute credit.

It's a real project that crashed and burnt 5 months ago, using Numberfields@home data. For several months now, people have been helping to bring it back to life, although that appears to have petered out since early December. Grant Darwin NT. |

This project has some issues right now, and is not fully functionable. Also, the issue you are talking about just looks like a misconfiguration. Just out of the curiosity: what version of BOINC do you run? I do remember we had similar issue that we have fixed a while ago. BOINC maintainer. For any insight, check my BOINC Development Blog. |

OK. Thank you for the information. As I said before, project is not stable at the moment, so such issues can happen from time to time. I don't know when it will be fixed, so just follow the news on this forum. BOINC maintainer. For any insight, check my BOINC Development Blog. |
