Recently I decided to poke around on one of my phones and look at (but not change) the remote access password in BOINC.

The phone is a Moto G 2025 Android 16, with fingerprint unlock (set up about 2 months ago), and Google's "Advanced Protection" (activated last week to try it out), and when I went into the BOINC (8.2.28) settings just to look at the password (still using the random default), it asked for my fingerprint. This is the first time, but it's also the first time I tried looking involving all of the previously mentioned details.

This feature was implemented for the BOINC client starting version 8.0.0: https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/pull/5390

I tend not to look at the change logs, so this is the first time I've encountered it (incidentally, my phone updated from 15 to 16 in mid-September, so I wouldn't have seen it before then).

At least I can confirm it currently works...
