Running subproject 8-threaded and changing work fetch to another suproject single-threaded, but Boinc is fetching and running second subproject still 8-threaded even it should run single-thread.

It appears to be that once we run something with a given thread count, I can't change the thread count for that subproject.

Restarting BOINC, and rebooting computer doesn't help. Only resetting project or downgrading to 8.0.2 helps.

This problem has been seen with different computers and users, tested at least Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS / Boinc 8.2.4, Windows 11 / Boinc 8.2.4, Windows 11 / Boinc 8.2.5, Windows 10 / Boinc 8.2.4

Just so everyone can follow along...This is in reference to the forum TOPIC on PrimeGrid
Message boards : Problems and Help : New/old thread settings are not being applied

I would open a problem report/ ticket on the official BOINC repository on GitHub to make the developers aware of the issue and reference the PrimeGrid topic in your ticket.
