I recently installed BONIC on my website to display project stats and user contributions. The setup went fine, but I’m noticing that the stats on my site don’t update in real-time. Is this a common issue with BOINC data exports or caching? Do I need to configure something extra on the server side to make sure the website always shows fresh stats? I'm totally a newbie and trying my first project with BONIC. Apkdazy |

That's perfectly normal as not all projects update their exported stats on a continuous basis, it can be days, or even weeks, for stats to catch up with reality (if they ever do). |

In reply to robsmith's message of 18 Aug 2025: That's perfectly normal as not all projects update their exported stats on a continuous basis, it can be days, or even weeks, for stats to catch up with reality (if they ever do).And on the projects I frequent at least, the stats on the website only update when the host contacts the server so you can have a computer that hasn't done any work for years at the top of the credit listings. Possibly it is done that way to prevent the server having to do the work of recalculating all the stats every day or whatever. To reduce the workload, the code could recalculate say once a week or even once a month till RAC became negligible and then not bother. Maybe I should put that to the devs at git-hub? |
