My unreported Android tasks are now all past their sell by date.

They must be doing something in Toronto. The WCG website including forum are down with the following error message;

ERR_SSL_UNRECOGNIZED_NAME_ALERT

This error has the following meaning according to my web search:

The ERR_SSL_UNRECOGNIZED_NAME_ALERT error occurs when your browser does not recognize the SSL certificate for the requested domain, often due to a mismatch between the domain name and the certificate.

None of my web browsers will find the (missing) SSL certificate.

Will just have to wait and see what happens in the next few days, months, years or century.

A definite shock - it’s not as if you don’t get lots of reminders when a domain is coming up for renewal.

Looks like they must of renewed the registration for the website sometime today according to domaintools.com:

IP address above is correct but DNS NAME RESOLVERS such as Google and OpenDNS, etc have not got the renewal information and all go to the GoDaddy parked domain IP addresses 15.197.148.33 or 3.33.130.190.

Might take upto 24 hours for all the DNS Name Resolvers to see the correct information.

I got a message back that Dylan is looking into the website issue.

WCG site works fine for me. The certificate is valid from 2 september 2025 02:00:00 and expires 3 september 2026 01:59:59. So, it must have been something else.

SSL Certificate is good until September...as I previously noted, they DID let the website DOMAIN NAME registration EXPIRE. Now Expires on 2027-04-08 (1 year from previous expiration). That's separate from the SSL CERTIFICATE.

Curious why the university would only renew the domain name for only 1 year?

Yeah, I obviously didn't have the ability to both read, and understand what I was reading, at the same time. :-) Sorry for that Dr Who.

WCG Forums are back but still not able to get or return tasks.

I have written off the several hundred hours of “pending validation” unfortunately. To me the site seems to have been down more than it’s been available over the last few months. The other sites I crunch at seem to require far less activity to keep them “afloat” as it were. Will keep watching of course but not crunching.

All uploaded tasks suddenly reported. No new work yet though.
Some progress at least....

Edit: Stats export is now happening. BoincStats is now showing that WCG is alive.

Yep, got a big clump of credits there. I suppose that's the right number, been to long for me to keep track of it. I'm like Mr. Pump...give me a task and I'll process it...
In any event...Kudos to the folks at WCG.

Well, that didn't last for long this time either. Every upload fails with "transient HTTP error". A couple of more stuck uploads here, and I will not be able to get any new tasks. No panic yet though, I still have 54 tasks in the cache. All are resends (_2-_6)

I just had two download on a tablet, immediately crash with a ~2 minute back off, and immediately report back when manually updated.
