Anyone know what happened to the SETI website? Did they decommission it without us knowing? It's still unreachable. |

As if the AI induced shortages in RAM, NAND, HDDs and CPUs and motherboard availability aren't enough, now it's optical fibre. Apparently AI datacentres require 36 times more fibre than what is required by normal datacentres. Major Chinese optical fiber manufacturers have booked orders stretching into early 2027, as AI data center construction drives demand growth that the supply chain cannot matchAnd we are yet to feel the impacts of the of the disruptions already caused by the goings on in the Strait of Hormuz, and the longer it takes for things to be sorted out there, the greater those impacts will be We are living in a seriously f($#^@)*# world. What happened to Stop, Look and Listen before crossing? Witness describes septic truck crashing into train in Virginia; driver seriously injured Video embedded in article. Video shared with WAVY by (a) viewer shows the truck starting to drive across the track when the train collided with the rear of the truck, splitting the tank from the cab and sending both into a nearby ditch. Contents from the tank can be seen spilling onto the ground. |
