Hi all, I run a few laptops for SETI @ home. I use windows 8 and above. I run task scheduler to put the machines into sleep mode at night. I currently have a separate task to wake the machine in the morning. The wake up task doesn’t seem to start boinc tasks. My question: If I use task scheduler to open boinc manager (and wake the machine from sleep), are there any specific ‘arguments’ I have to add to set it running? In case anyone wondered, I’m planning a few machines and I want them to only run when powered by solar panels! Thanks for any help and I hope this post makes sense! Regards Robert |

If you open BOINC Manager after the machine awakens from sleep, and call up the Event Log (Ctrl+Shift+E), does it show any messages related to the sleep and the subsequent awaken? If there are any, perhaps you could post them here. |

Apologies for the slow response. I have rechecked everything and actually the problem was in the advanced power settings, for some reason wake up scripts were not allowed. Unticking this one box has solved my issue. Thanks for your input. |
