I run a few laptops for SETI @ home.

I use windows 8 and above.

I run task scheduler to put the machines into sleep mode at night.

I currently have a separate task to wake the machine in the morning.

The wake up task doesn’t seem to start boinc tasks.

My question:

If I use task scheduler to open boinc manager (and wake the machine from sleep), are there any specific ‘arguments’ I have to add to set it running?

In case anyone wondered, I’m planning a few machines and I want them to only run when powered by solar panels!

If you open BOINC Manager after the machine awakens from sleep, and call up the Event Log (Ctrl+Shift+E), does it show any messages related to the sleep and the subsequent awaken? If there are any, perhaps you could post them here.

Apologies for the slow response.

I have rechecked everything and actually the problem was in the advanced power settings, for some reason wake up scripts were not allowed.

Unticking this one box has solved my issue.
