Under Win10, with V8 Boinc sometimes (5 in two weeks of daily use) will not come out of save screen, whether it is suspended or not, or even turned off. At that point is has been reboot and recover other work.

When Boinc is suspended, it will self un-suspend and SETI as my only project starts off, adding to nearly 2,000,000 cobblestones.

I was suspending it to see whether it is implicated in the snow on my second screen of a GeForce 960 which shows up after a while as small horizontal streaks, larger streaks, or full out 50% snow. Can SETI be kept in memory bounds on the GPU? This problem also occurred with V7s. Sometimes turning off the screen and turning it on clears the streaks. I have swapped the monitors with no change. The problem has not occurred running on either monitor but does occur with both. The board supports three monitors and I tried shifting the plugs from first and second to first and third.

It would help if Boinc once suspended would not restart on reboot or start spontaneously so that I could verify that SETI is the streaker.

How do you suspend BOINC? If by right-clicking on its icon in the system tray and choosing Snooze, do know that snooze only works for an hour. After that it will continue.

Suspending through the Activity menu, a project through the Projects tab or individual tasks through the Tasks tab will suspend until you resume.

You can also suspend BOINC by setting preferences to suspend all work when the computer is in use. The leaving the computer alone, but on and not logged off will run work.
